Caves Beachside in the Swim with Caves Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
In 2009 Caves Beach Surf Lifesaving Club will be partnered in their annual ocean swim event by Caves Beachside.
Marketing Manager Rob O’Brien said “The Caves Beach Ocean Swim provided a fantastic opportunity to involve Caves Beachside in an exciting, challenging and rewarding event. The mix of Salt-Sand-Surf and Swim bind the ideals of keeping an active and healthy lifestyle whist immersing participants in the natural beauty and cleanliness of Caves Beach both above and below the waterline.”

As naming rights sponsor Caves Beachside will witness people achieving goals they have set through their training with friends, partners and workmates.
Club Manager of Caves Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, Darryl Hadfield believes recreational swimmers everywhere are keen to go beyond the black line of the local swimming pool and take on the physical and mental challenge of open water swimming.
Darryl said “The partnership and naming rights sponsorship of the event by Caves Beachside will allow the club to purchase the expensive and much needed rescue equipment to enable our volunteers to keep Caves Beach a safe bathing place over the summer months.”
Well known to competitors the event also has the thrilling Commonwealth Bank “Dash for Cash" and for the first time will feature another surf craze sweeping the country. The first ever stand up paddleboarding race the “Battle of the Paddle” will be part of the day in 2009.
Also not to be missed on Sunday January 4 visitors to the beach will be treated to the sounds of live jazz with the popular ‘Jazz Under the Pines’ at the forecourt of the surf lifesaving club.
