Function Centre and Restaurant to be operated by Successful Industry Icon
Operated by one of the most skilled and experienced restaurant managers in the Hunter Valley, Greg and Jan Hopper, the Caves Beachside Hotel will offer a range of function and dining experiences.
With over 29 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Greg Hopper has run a number of successful restaurants and function centres, including Awaba House Restaurant and Café, Bay Views Restaurant and function centre and Mama Mex Restaurant Warners Bay. Awaba House was awarded the Best New Restaurant in the Hunter Region.
According to Greg, one of the great things about his latest project at the Caves Beachside Hotel, apart from the stunning location, has been his involvement right from the design concept.
“I have been able to design the layout of the kitchens to create optimum efficiency and flow. We have also been able to create separate preparation and kitchen areas for the restaurants and function areas, enabling us to cater to first-class standards,” Greg said.
Greg will be bringing his experienced team of key staff over to the Caves Beachside Hotel, including his head chef from Awaba House and Bay Views.

Private catering in two spectacular function rooms, providing a total capacity for up to 700 guests. The rooms can also be divided into six smaller sound proof areas allowing for more intimate arrangements between 20 people or a party of 140 people.
